What Happens If You Go Over Budget?

Great question and one that is obvious to us but not always to the customer so we appreciate you raising. It is OYM responsibility to manage the project, so the agreed hours are tracked inhouse using Asana and Harvest. If the project goes over there is no additional fees to pay, OYM will not charge for hours that haven’t been agreed in advance.

OYM are always happy to help and give additional value, so it’s not unusual that we spend a little extra time on our customers, but that’s for us to manage. Where we need additional funds we would always get a sign off in advance, this is likely to be for projects or tasks that you have wanted to add to the original brief, this often includes adding in SEO, Websites, Big Campaigns etc. anything that is not a quick and easy task.

As well as daily meetings (Mon - Fri) we also review your project monthly, so there is plenty of opportunity for us to deliver whats needed and keep an eye on how we use the time. Your account manager will keep you updated on where the hours are spent and what they suggest is good for the coming months. Projects tend to change as results happen, so you could want to focus on leads first up and socials second, that could totally switch on any given month and week, this is another reason why we charge a flat fee over a project fee.
